Leta M. Vega, DNP, APN, CNM, began her nursing career at Methodist College of Nursing in Peoria and earned advanced degrees from the University of Illinois at Chicago and the University of Iowa. A board-certified nurse-midwife with over 30 years of experience, she specializes in gynecology and obstetrics. As faculty at UIC, she promotes women’s health through research, balanced nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle advocacy.
