Ms. Karen Maxwell
<p><!--block-->Ms. Karen began her career at KinderCare with a Kid's Choice (School Age and Kindergarten only facility) in 1988 in Streamwood. She was also the Director at the Wise Rd. Schaumburg and Hanover Park KinderCare locations. During those years she was also a Team Leader, Mentor for Director Training, chosen to be on the Focus Group for Gallup Poll and she earned Director of the Year Award as well. She left the field in 2003 for family reasons and later realized that her true passion was with young children and developing her staff. She returned to the field in 2010 as a Director of Operations at another Early Childhood School but returned to KinderCare in February 2017. She raised two children, both of which are now adults. Her daughter is pursuing a career working with animals and her son is currently serving in the Navy. She also has three dogs and one cat who are her "furry kids" now. Ms. Karen gets very excited watching the growth and development of the children in her schools and enjoys being a part of providing quality care and education that her parents expect. She has found that she is a great resource to her families. She seeks tools that help young families in their child's education and home life. She has often been asked if she could provide Parenting Classes due to her experience and knowledge. <br><br>Ms. Karen feels very strongly that building a foundation with each of her families and faculty provides the best opportunities for them for their futures and success. She has built strong, long term relationships throughout her schools and with former students, families and faculty. She prides herself in building and maintaining these relationships as a key to each family's growth. Her belief is that every child, no matter how old, their cultural or economic situation, deserves to be treated with ultimate care and positive direction to fulfill their desire to learn, to grow and to achieve. </p>
